With a futuristic design and simple elegance the Japanese premium manufacturer TOKYOFLASH tries to conquer the German market. A particularly successful model is the KISAI ZONE, “a composition of eight corners”. The highlight: a slightly different representation of the time. What is difficult to understand for the unexperienced, the trained eye can recognize in a few seconds. Two octagons per row form the time, consisting of hours, minutes and seconds, in digital format. Anyone who engages in the extraordinary design, will soon be amazed by this eye-catcher.

The KISAI ZONE is available with a black and a silver ceramic-look, each with differently coloured LCDs. The workmanship might be a bit simple as it can be seen in the hollow chain links of the wristband, but the timekeeper still makes a reasonable impression. The watch glass is extremely scratch resistant and the black ceramic-look alloy is suprisingly durable. A total of 17 chain links is included, so that the model can be worn by both men and women. However, the shortening of the wristband should better be performed by an expert to avoid damages by wrong tool. The accessory can be closed with a folding clasp and lateral pushers which appear to be very stable as well. With a weight of around 210g, the KISAI has a robust, high-quality appearance and is even for a small women’s wrist not too heavy.

The KISAI ZONE is absolutely beyond the mainstream and a wonderful break from the “Ice-Watch.” Complex and elegant, instead of cheap and intrusive.
